Synopsis

Colt Thorne was once the Mech King, the most gifted pilot the world had ever produced, until his parents' deaths broke him and he walked away from everything. He surfaces again as a nobody, working as a janitor, kept going only because a woman named Freya pulled him out of his lowest point. He keeps his past buried and his feelings for her unspoken, content to disappear into an ordinary life. That life ends the moment Freya is betrayed and dragged into a mech duel meant to kill her. With her life on the line, Colt can no longer afford to stay hidden. He climbs back into the cockpit, pushes his connection to the machine to a level no other pilot can reach, his legendary one hundred percent Neural Sync, and takes command of The Tempest. What begins as a rescue turns into something far larger when an alien swarm capable of wiping out humanity arrives, and the pilot who quit becomes the only person standing between the world and extinction.
