Synopsis

Zion Reed's life is delivery runs, unpaid bills and a city that looks straight through him. Then a near-fatal crash rewires something no doctor can explain, and he wakes up seeing what nobody is supposed to see: floating over every person, the exact amount of time they have left, alongside the hidden worth of things everyone else misprices. In Los Angeles, a city built on bluffing, Zion suddenly holds the one advantage that cannot be bluffed. Deals reveal their true value before he signs. Dangers announce themselves before they arrive. People's countdowns tell him who is desperate, who is lying and who is running out of road. The broke driver starts climbing, and every rung exposes him to bigger players who cannot understand how the nobody keeps winning. But a gift that shows everyone else's clock carries an obvious weight: some numbers are ones he would rather not see, and knowing when time runs out is not the same as being able to stop it.

What You Didn't Know About This Series

The lifespan-vision premise places the series inside a specific supernatural lineage that runs through East Asian fiction, where the ability to see death timers over people's heads has powered novels, manhwa and dramas for years, and this title compresses that concept into the vertical short format with an American setting.
Zion's power is written as two abilities fused into one, since he reads both remaining lifespans and hidden values, which lets the story alternate between life-and-death stakes and wealth-building satisfaction, effectively running a thriller engine and an underdog-rises engine off the same gift.
Los Angeles as the backdrop is a pointed choice for this premise, setting a man who sees absolute truth loose in a city the story frames as running on performance and inflated appearances, where every countdown and every hidden value works as a lie detector the rest of the cast cannot beat.
The series spread through an unusually wide unofficial distribution net within days, with dedicated Dailymotion accounts named after the title, full-episode compilations on YouTube and Facebook pages posting it across multiple languages, including Korean-labeled channels, the signature pattern of a DramaWave release catching international traction faster than its official rollout.
Multiple review and story-explanation channels produced full breakdowns of the series within 72 hours of release, the kind of instant recap economy that forms around short-drama titles when their central hook, a visible death timer, is simple enough to explain in a thumbnail.
The delivery-driver starting point plants the series firmly in the broke-protagonist tradition that dominates male-lead short drama, but the power he receives inverts the genre's usual formula, since Zion is not given strength, money or a hidden identity, only information, and every victory in the story has to be built from knowing what others cannot.
The title works as a double meaning the story earns over its run: Zion is the king of the countdowns he reads in others, while living under the same arithmetic himself, a tension the promotional cuts lean on by framing his rise and his mortality inside the same image.
