Synopsis

Abby Rivers spent ten years as the Thomson family's public relations prop, the adopted daughter paraded for the Governor's campaign while being treated worse than staff behind closed doors. A genius hacker with nowhere to run, she held on hoping the family would one day become real. It never did. On the edge of her eighteenth birthday, Richard Thomson showed her exactly what she was worth to him, arranging to sell her to a businessman for five million dollars. Escaping with nothing, Abby used a ring her late mother Amelia left behind and a DNA match to find the father she never knew: Dominic Mancini, a crime boss and the wealthiest tycoon in America, who had been told for years he could never have a child of his own. What follows is a reversal the Thomsons never saw coming. Dominic takes his daughter home, surrounds her with the protection of his three adopted sons, and stages a coming-of-age ceremony where Abby returns as sole heir to a trillion-dollar empire, ready to expose everyone who spent a decade breaking her down.

ReelShort is a vertical short-drama platform developed and operated by Crazy Maple Studio, Inc., available on iOS and Android. The first episodes of most series play free, and later ones unlock with coins earned through daily logins, ad views and in-app tasks, purchased directly, or covered by a subscription. An in-app exclusive program also opens selected episodes free inside the app. Episodes run between one and a few minutes in portrait format, and any title can be found by its name or numeric code in the app's search. Recognized by Time100 among the most innovative companies in entertainment, ReelShort releases new series daily across family drama, revenge, romance, fantasy and hidden-identity stories.

What You Didn't Know About This Series

Entertainment press gave the series an unusually warm reception for the vertical format, with True Hollywood Talk publishing a two-thumbs-up review that singled out Emma Rose Ball's performance as Abby, crediting her with making every triumph feel earned, coverage that most short dramas never attract from traditional media.
Gabriel Jayne arrives in the cast directly from the viral 2026 ReelShort title My Secret Lover Is His Brother, and his casting as the rock-star brother Julian functions as a deliberate bridge between two of the platform's fan bases, a strategy ReelShort has been repeating with its recurring vertical stars.
Nate Flores, who plays Max, is one of the platform's most recycled leading men, with previous roles in Bound By Love, Once Upon A Breakup and Dear Evil Stepsisters: The Prince is Mine, making this series a reunion point for viewers who follow ReelShort's in-house roster rather than individual titles.
The series inverts the platform's dominant father figure: where most ReelShort family dramas cast the patriarch as the obstacle, Dominic Mancini is written as the wish-fulfillment engine itself, a ruthless crime boss whose only soft spot is his daughter, and the title's promise of spoiling is the actual content of the show rather than a setup to be subverted.
The fiancé competition Dominic announces, giving Abby a month to choose among his three adopted sons, grafts a reverse-harem structure onto the family revenge plot, running two of the format's highest-engagement formulas simultaneously and giving each brother a distinct archetype to campaign with.
ReelShort published multiple dedicated fandom articles about the series on its own site within days of release, covering the cast, the father-daughter reunion and episode highlights, a volume of first-party editorial support the platform reserves for titles it is positioning as tentpoles.
Full-length reuploads titled as complete movies appeared across Dailymotion and YouTube almost immediately, alongside the platform's own official EP1-12 batch release on YouTube, the dual-track distribution pattern ReelShort uses to convert binge viewers into app downloads through episode-code searches.
