Synopsis

In an Athens where daughters of the House of Demetrios secure the family's glory through a wreath-throwing ceremony, Irene's fate is decided by her stepsister's scheming. Eris manipulates the marriage swap, taking the noble Leonidas for herself and leaving Irene bound to a penniless wandering bard, a match the whole city treats as a humiliation. The family piles cruelty on top of it, pushing Irene toward despair while Eris celebrates her stolen victory. What none of them can see is who the bard actually is: Apollo, the Light God, moving through the mortal world in disguise. Every insult aimed at Irene lands on the wife of a god, and his patience has a limit. When it breaks, divine wrath falls on the nobles of Athens who tormented her, and the woman they mocked as a beggar's bride is raised to the Light Queen's throne. The series layers a rebirth on top of it all, with Irene returning to the ceremony that started everything, this time knowing exactly what her sister is.
